Effective Monday July 2, 2007 there will be no further authorizations in response to requests for Employment-based preference cases. All numbers available to these categories under the FY-2007 annual numerical limitation have been made available.

I support the donor idea. But there is no transperency to who is leading what initative. If i want to contribute my time, i have to read through the posts every day for several hours to find who is leading the effort so i can discuss with them. Sometimes i feel there is so much more talk. Why don't we list out the initiatives that is being considered or worked on. Along with some contact information so people can discuss offline with them. I cannot be online for several hours and read through all the discussions and still not find out who is coordinating the efforts.

I emailed them not as me but as my employer( point of contact mentioned in the labor petition) and it works they send me a copy of the labor approval to my house along with a copy to my employer and one to my attroney. It really works.

Please contribute IVians. We need your support to lobby for the current bills which have been introduced.

Thanks to the glorious service of the Atlanta center :mad: I missed the I-485 bus by 7 days( Labor cleared on Aug end ). Many people with later PD's got cleared from the Chicago PERM center . Now I just watch as all members get their EAD's and AP's while I wait with nothing but hope and watch legislation after legislation fail in the senate and house , and the letters flying all over the place .

My address that they had on file was also an old one, from 2 years ago. I have since moved, and done the online AR15 thing and received my EAD at the new address, so I'm not sure why/how the system showed the old address.

Since on 2nd July they said they will reject the AOS application, what if they would have done some rejection during that time, and by the time July filers get their application back, it is after 17th of August. In that circumstance, can you send the AOS application back arguing USCIS's mistake and ask them to take it back after 08/17 and would they take it back politely or reject it again.

Thank you 'lazycis' for reconfirming this. Just 2 weeks back I used to think that keep working on H1B is lot safer than using EAD :o
H1B petition can be revoked automatically if a) employer notifies USCIS that the petition is withdrawn or b) employer goes out of business. See 8 CFR 214.2.(b)(11). So yes, EAD is much safer in this regard. Revoked H1B petition cannot be used for transfer/extension. It's nice to have H1B as a fallback, but it's not a safe heaven.

I live in Georgia and I agree with you all. All these DMVs were sleeping and woke up after 9/11 and imposing these strict rules that makes everyone's life miserable. Unless you live in a city life will be hell without DL and we are sweating it over every time a renewal comes up. How am I suppose to explain DMV guy about I-94, H1 extension etc. Even some immigration officers in airport give wrong I-94 expiry date without understanding the difference between visa stamp and extension.

wondering how yu came up with a list of contributors.......if i provide my transfer confirmations to IV and still cannot find my name in the list then how will I trust the veracity of yur list.....

It is not automatic - santb1975 has to manually go through the posts and update the list. Manual error happens - if your/anyone's name is missing, please do post in this thread, the list will be updated as soon as possible (not in the next minute or hour).

Hi All,
Thank you to all those who attended the first meeting! I am attaching the excel file for you to complete. I have included instructions in the file itself but let me know if you have questions. Please fill all the columns against your name.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday at 7pm PST. The tasks for our next meeting are as follows:
1) Complete the excel sheet (instructions are included).
2) Brainstorm about possible locations where we can put up a booth to register new members � someone had proposed contacting student body at UCI, we can discuss this.
3) Take a look at the IV power point presentation and propose how we can tailor it to our needs. We need a presentation to show to our house reps when we visit them (This will be found on the resources page)
4) Go through the IV template for business cards along with instructions to modify the template and to print the business cards. (this will be found on resources page)
Please let me know if you have any other questions. The conference call information is the same as last time:
