If you call USCIS 1800 number, and you ask the representative to raise a service request then they email the service center asking for details. Most of the time, personnel from service center will call back with the information that you have requested. If you learn there is a way you can email the service center, please post here.

I was on l1b visa from Jun 2008 to Jun 2010, then my company filed my h1b change of status, so now technically i am on h1b status , but i sill have l1b stamped on my passport, i am going to India for vacactions, so i will have stamp my h1b visa, now my question is :

1. Can the Visa officer ask why your company moved you from L1b to H1b with COS ?

2. If the officer asks me, do you plan stay in US permanently ?

What should be the correct answers to these questions ?

There are 2 pre approved labors with my company.

1. EB3 PD-April 2003 System Analyst/Programmer Analyst Degree:B.E.
2. EB2 PD-May 2000 Project Manager/Senior Architect/Team Lead Degree: Masters in CS prior to 2K

American co., no need to pay for labor. Should come with a project with a corp to corp option. Co. has clients but it may take time as July 16th is last date.

I think we need to expose employers who are taking advantage of us in different ways just because we are stuck with them due to retrogression. This way if we cannot change the legislation right away we can atleast scare the crooks by exposing them so that they cannot trap new people.

I am working for a MNC and I got L1 visa stamped. After marriage I got my H4 visa stamped.(After L1 stamping) But the Visa officials have not marked the L1 visa cancelled in the passport, does it mean that the Visa is still valid? Does that mean that i can still travel on my L1 visa?

I am working on EAD for a company A (I have approved H1 with company B). i want to maintain both the statuses, can i do that by running the paycheck with H1 company?


You cannot be on H1-B if you are working using EAD.


2)

my fiancee is on H1 status and i want to change her status from H1 to H4 (H1 getting expired). will it be ok as long as i maiting H1 status?

In order to qualify for H-4, the person has to be a legal dependent on the person holding H1-B. AFAIK, fiancee is not legally a dependent.

The storyline continues. Last year, 13,500 regular H-1B applications were counted in the first week and 5,600 advanced degree applications. This year 5,900 regular applications were received in the first week and 4,500 advanced degree petitions. Guru's please help....

My attorney sent in EAD renewal applications for me and my spouse. We got a receipt from USCIS yesterday with a MSC receipt number with some information on scheduling biometrics. I called my attorney and asked him about the same. He said that this is normal as he did the right thing by sending our application to a lock box address in Chicago. We are wisconsin residents. Please advise if this is fine to get a recipet notice from the Missouri service center address.

I transfer my H1B to company B and works for company B. Now suppose if I want to go back to company A after six months and want to work for company A, does the h1b transfer required? (means, does company A requires to file whole h1b petition again?) Here my petition (I-797) with company A is still valid. And suppose if I want to go back to company A after 4 years, at that time my petition (I-797) with company A might be expired, does the company A requires to file new petition (tranfer) or just the extension?
