Could someone please detail the process of adding your wife to the existing 485 application. I am sure there are many folks like myself who had applied for 485 before they got married and now have to add their spouses whenever the dates become current

Am currently in my 7th year H1 and have got admission into a parttime MBA program!
1.) I just wanted to clarify if i can accept scholarship in form of tution waivers? (not a income?)
2.) I am aware i cannot accept any scholarships which may require me working as a TA or RA? as this is a income...
but is a non-income school sponsored tution waiver an accepectable option>
Any gurus on this board like to throw some light on this!!!:confused:

The printed exiration date is :July 29, 2009
But my latest paroled stamp on AP it is : Dec 05, 2009.
Which date should i follow to renew my AP?

If I apply for my husband's H4, do we need to show my past paystubs?
Or will my husband's H1 information, like his employment verification, I-94, and H1B approval be enough?

Call me insanely confused idiot, but here is a thing:
I work for a major MNC (of course pays me 15% less than I should be making). My boss is also leaving the company. At the same time, I am getting an offer from another local (small) company, better position and pay. My GC is pending PD Jul-05/EB2 India from MNC. Should I leave at the 11th hour?
Just to clarify both are consulting companies.

My wife was working for a company before. They had filed for her GC. She has an approved I140. She had to convert to H4 because of some legal reasons and could not continue to work for the company. Now she has a valid H4.
She has already been here 7 years on her old H1. Now can she file for a H4-H1 and get a 3 year visa based on an approved 140 ?
The lawyer says that the 3 year extension rule just states that H can be continued beyond 6 years based on approved 140 and so she can go back to a H1...
Anyone here has had a similiar experience ?

Hi,
I am currently a dependent E-1 on my wife's visa and currently have a valid EAD which will expire mid-2010.
We are about to file I-140 and I-485 and my question is, should I also file for a new EAD at the same time even if its still 8 months from expiry? I'm not sure what the difference is between an EAD under the E-1 visa, or an EAD when filing the I-485, or if it doesn't matter at all.
Hopefully someone can help. Thanks!

Your friend's wife should be okay. As long as the marriage took place before his I-485 approval he can add his spouse for an AOS or follow to join application even after the approval(within limited time window, of course).

This is from the "What Would You Do?" series and the question explored is how customers in a restaurant will react to a security guard asking Latinos for their identification in a restaurant in southern Arizona. While the Arizona law has not yet taken effect and only applies to police officers and not security guards, ThinkProgress' Wonk Room rightly points out the threshold for stopping people is very low and it is pretty easy to envision these kinds of situations playing out.

A story just came in from CNN an Arizona man caught leaving water bottles in the desert for illegal immigrants has been sentenced to 300 hours of community service and a year of probation.
